A direct dispute concerning the accuracy of any information furnished by GITSIT and contained in a consumer credit report must contain sufficient identifying information (the consumer’s name, address, phone number, account number), the specific information the consumer is disputing and an explanation of the basis for the dispute, and all supporting documentation substantiating the basis of the dispute (e.g., consumer credit report containing the allegedly inaccurate information, a police report, fraud/identity theft affidavit, court order, account statements).
